5.2 Rowley Skiff, 5.2 Sea Duck

This is an open center console boat ruggedly built of 0.190 inch aluminum which is about twice the thickness of riveted aluminum boats of that size. She is brand new and has never been registered. Build as a custom boat, the owner’s need and desire for the boat changed due to personal circumstances.

The boat is powered by a Yamaha 40 HP outboard with a jet, a combination which provides modest performance. The jet can be removed and replaced with a conventional prop power head installed. This will increase the engine power to 60 HP and improve speed to the 30 knot range, at the cost of losing the shoal draft feature of the jet.

10m Walkaround

This boat is used primarily as a day boat, and secondarily as a personal cruiser. The hull design is based on the proven Winninghoff Cape Ann Sea Skiff hull form, with the addition of concave flare at the forward sections. Hull deadrises are 16 degrees at the transom, 18 degrees amidship, and 62 degrees at the cutwater. The arrangement is a walk-around (for child and senior safety) and features flush cockpit and pilothouse soles- no engine boxes to trip over! Propulsion is Yanmar 420 HP with Hamilton Jet model 292, yielding 27 knots wide open and about 22 knots cruise.
