Two of these 35.5 ft x 12.5 ft. modified vee hull boats were built originally for Clean Casco Bay, a company formed by the oil companies moving oil into Portland, ME harbor. Known as the Bigelow Bight Responder and the Saco Bay Responder, these boats are excellent performers, quick to get on a plane and highly maneuverable. Powered by twin Volvo diesel I/0’s they topped out abut 32 knots and could cruise comfortable at 26 knots.
A 10m look alike but with a single jet was built several years later and is in use by the Maine DEP, based in Portland, ME.
