This modified vee L/C was powered with a V-8 gas I/O. She was an excellent performer reported cruising WOT some of the time at about 45 mph. She would be a good candidate for twin outboards, a diesel I/O, or a jet (gas of diesel). With a 9 foot beam, she is slightly over the 8.5 ft. limit, but certainly readily trailerable.

The photo shown below is rather amusing. In backing down from the dock on the initial sea trial, and then going forward, the clutch cable broke causing the boat to climb the dock, fortunately not wounding anyone. The fellow in the foreground amidships was the MDC representative who had contracted for the boat. He was not totally amused.
