Several 22 foot fire rescue boats were built in the early 90’s with modified vee hulls similar to but not identical to the 6.8m. Although we do not have CNC cut numbers for these, should someone want one we could and would substitute the 6.8m hull as was done on the Lake Yonah fire/rescue boat. Photos of similar boats built for Antioch, IL, Port Lavaca, TX, and Providence, RI are shown.
A 24 foot fire/rescue boat, the first jet boat we built, designed by Bill Lincoln, was built for the Verplanck, NY FD on the east side of the Hudson river. She had a 24 foot x 8.5 beam hull, identical to the 7.4m hulls discussed in the Pilot House section below. Power was from a Volvo TAMD 41 diesel driving not only the Hamilton Jet at the stern, but also the fire pump. It took a little experimentation of figure out how to share the crankshaft torque between the jet and the fire pump, it being necessary to get enough power to the jet to provide maneuvering thrust and station keeping while getting enough power to the fire pump. It worked well, and was subsequently used on several quite large Fire/Rescue boats built in the northwest.
