Choosing a Winninghoff Boat

Studying this website will show the breadth of the designs we have built and may suggest boats which meet your desires and needs. Buying a standard or near standard boat is less costly and quicker to build than a custom boat. Standardized designs are likely to be in the competitive range of higher quality FRP (fiber glass plastic) boats. However, you may be interested in features requiring considerable modifications or additions. Customizing is more practical in aluminum than in FRP.

You may find a boat on this website which is close to your needs and desires. If reasonable modifications fall short of filling the bill, you could consider a custom boat – your design or ours – should do it. Welded aluminum construction is usually the least expensive way to build a one-off. We will work with you to build a boat which fits your needs and desires at a mutually agreeable cost.

We can design a boat for you, work with an outside naval architect selected by you, or build to your plans. We will build to any stage of completion. Although we offer to build existing designs, our boats are built to order.
